Coming off a historical winter event covering the entire Midwest, the Las Vegas Challenge couldn’t be a more perfect event to get the players warmed up. This years field was welcomed back after a year of uncertainty to an event that is arguably one of the best in America. Coming back after a full year off, Nate Sexton made a solid first appearance back on tour, placing 17th and making an exciting appearance on OTB SKins.
Paige Pierce returned to Vegas after taking last year off, and also made her first appearance on Tour Skins. Pierce had two 1000+ rated rounds, finishing the tournament -25, besting Catrina Allen by one stroke.
2018 LVC Champion Eagle McMahon, coming into the final round with a lead, shot a bogey free thirteen under, securing the win at -48. Coming up short were Heimburg (-40), Aderhold (-40), Gurthie (-38), and Wysocki (-37) rounding out the top five.
With a 1099 rated 2nd day, Ezra Aderhold had perhaps the most exciting start to the tournament going -16, the hot round by three strokes.
Weather conditions for the tournament were less than ideal. All four rounds had spastic wind picking up at different times each day. Gifting some players with workable conditions and leaving other players to deal with the extreme gusts.
